Measure the outer diameter of the spline on your Gearbox input shaft using a Vernier Caliper. If you don’t have a Vernier Caliper you could use an adjustable spanner and adjust up to the spline then measure the gap you are left with inside the spanner flats. Then count the number of the teeth on spline and two pieces of information will give you the spline type.
